Hypnos also known as Somnus is the god of sleep․ His name is the origin word for hypnosis․ He is the son of Nyx （The Night） and twin brother to Thanatos （Death）․ According to rumors‚ Hypnos lived in a big cave‚ which the river of Lethe comes from and where the night and day meet․ This area is called the Land of Dreams․ He is said to be a calm and gentle god‚ as he helps humans in need and‚ due to their sleep‚ owns half of their lives․
